St. Stephen's Episcopal Church PreSchool      Purpose  The purpose of St. Stephen's Mother’s Day Out (MDO) and PreSchool is to give the parent free time, knowing his or her child is in a loving, Christian environment; and that the child is under the supervision of a trained worker and teacher whose goal is to develop each child in the areas of social, physical, emotional, and mental growth. Objectives  Your child will participate in a variety of activities suitable to his or her age, such as: Exploring his/her environment interacting with teachers and other children learning to respond, sing, and listen to different kinds of music enjoying stories, poetry, dramatizations, puppetry and books using play equipment to aid in physical development and working with manipulative materials, such as paints, clay, crayons, scissors, paste, puzzles, and other craft items. Experiences are designed to strengthen a child's self concept and understanding of his or her surroundings, such as: Working as an individual solving problems in everyday life respecting other's rights developing the feeling that school is a place where he/she can find love and understanding, and understanding that he/she is special and has worth to himself/herself and to others, regardless of whether he or she achieves. Working to achieve these goals in our School is a staff experienced in caring for children.
